Hannah Powell was adopted from Vietnam, and currently lives in Severna Park, Maryland. She enjoys digital artwork but has started to expand her horizons into mixed media. Her work is inspired by mental health and a passion for clinical psychology, and aims to catch others’ attention. In Hannah's work, mental disability is twisted to appear opposite to how it is normally seen. This can cause confusion as well as deeper thought. To Hannah, art is a vital way to express emotion or thought. She enjoys making others happy with her art because happiness is something that everyone needs more of. After graduation, she plans to expand her current project to digital work incorporating mental health.
